Shane’s passion for the environment began in college where he received degrees in Forestry and Wildlife Biology from UMass Amherst. This passion continues today, is pervasive in all of his business ventures, and is punctuated by the work Trulight Energy Group does.
Shane founded and owns a successful construction company, Ridgeview Construction, that specializes in sustainable and high performance buildings. Ridgeview has been specifying and installing renewable energy systems for over 8 years. Ridgeview has received 7 industry awards for green building, craftsmanship and design.
Shane also founded and owns Nh Sustainable Communities, a progressive development company that seeks to harmonize the built environment with the natural environment through intelligent land use practices. Shane is also an active real estate investor and owns Community Investment Properties, with holdings in residential and commercial real estate as well as land investments.
Shane has been awarded the prestigious "40 under Forty" award in Nh for young professionals that are making a difference in the state.
Shane brings a track record of over 20 years in real estate, construction, sustainable development, renewable energy, finance, investments and entrepreneurship. His diverse and deep experience in these fields, coupled with his track record of success in business growth and organizational development, allows for strong leadership and vision for Trulight
Newton Kershaw III

Newton Kershaw III has been successful in asset finance in NH and will lead our solar finance platform. Newton acts as Co-CEO and head of acquisitions and finance for Elm Grove Companies. He is formally educated in Economics and Finance having graduated Magna Cum Laude from Syracuse University and with honors from an overseas program of study in International Finance and Banking at Oxford University. He has completed the Harvard Business School Real Estate Executive Seminar.
His career started in the investment banking industry in New York City at Lehman Brothers where he worked in the mortgage trading group securitizing residential mortgage backed securities. He then spent a number of years in the commercial real estate brokerage arena with Stebbins Commercial Properties before forming Elm Grove Companies in 2009 and leading a hypergrowth distressed real estate acquisitions company in over 200 acquisitions including the purchase and stabilization of over 500 apartments.
Newton is past Chairman of the Board of the Manchester Development Corporation and a trustee of the Manchester Historic Association. He is a past board member of the Manchester Young Professionals Network, past Green Buildings Committee Chair at the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce and past Finance Committee Member at The Moore Center Services, Inc., the area non-profit agency supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and acquired brain disorders. He is a graduate of the Leadership Greater Manchester Program.
